Construction : The AC
Generator is having revolving field winding with
four poles which makes possible compact design of
sliprings & Brushes. The starter which is
stationary is robust in construction and is made
of glossy chromatised aluminium Die cast case for
enhanced corrosive protection and visual appeal.
The class-H insulation is used in construction.
All windings are vaccum impregnated. duly baked at
the proper temperature and then coated with
gelcoat to prevent the ingress of moisture. The
end shields are of study CI. the screen protection
is provided to protect armature winding, field
winding and other accessories from dust etc. this
also serves as ventilation.
Excitation : The A.C
Generation are self excited self regulated. The
generator field retains a high degree of residual
magnetism to ensure that voltage will always build
up at starting
Regulation : Voltage
regulation is maintained within 5% of rated
voltage and at spcified power factor. The speed
cariation is kept within 4.5 % of rated speed of
prime mover from full load to no load, the full
load speed being the rated speed of prime mover. (
GOVERNING CLASS A2) All the leads are properly
made by PVC ferrules. The output terminals are
houses in terminal box. A cable gland is provided
to faciliate the entry of cable.

sets are also available in water and air(axial
Flow ) cooled models.
